Though many bakeries exist in Glie, only the one at which Hikari works is shown. It is the only bakery in town in which haibane are allowed to work, which simply means that this is the oldest bakery in the area.
Hikari arrives mid-morning, but the kitchen staff arrives at 03:00. This causes her to act modest about her duties there when Rakka visits, but the head chef vouches for her hard work and creativity, citing her invention of a new circular pastry cooked in a strange baking pan as evidence, revealing Hikari to be a bit reckless when it comes to experimentation and rule-bending.
